Best Buddies Midnight Madness
Providence, RI

April 4, 2009

The hunt is on as Rhode Islanders race to the finish in the hottest craze to hit Providence.

Best Buddies Midnight Madness is an off-the-wall scavenger hunt with teams consisting of 6-10 players that ends with an after party at McFadden's.

Amidst the fun, individuals fundraise to support Best Buddies Rhode Island, a nonprofit dedicated to enhancing the lives of people with intellectual disabilities!

Are you ready to join the most amazing scavenger hunt ever? Grab a group of your friends and sign up today! Registration takes just a few minutes and you will get a customizable fundraising webpage to raise money to support friendship programs for people with intellectual disabilities in Best Buddies.

On the day of the event, your team will pick up the scavenger hunt list at the check-in area. You and your teammates will then embark on a wild scavenger hunt around Providence, collecting items for your treasure chest and taking pictures of your team doing crazy tasks. At the end of the day, teams will count their points and prizes will be awarded at the after party, hosted by McFadden's.

The Board of Directors is a group of student volunteers who are currently hard at work planning all of the details for Midnight Madness event. If you are interested in applying to join the Board of Directors, please email Jenny Sadler at JennySadler@bestbuddies.org.

Bountiful booty will be awarded for the following:

1st, 2nd, & 3rd place teams

Top team
Top individual

This year's prizes include: Johnny Cupcakes t-shirts, gym memberships, music cds, tanning packages, cases of Monster energy drink and cases of VitaminWater.

All event proceeds benefit
Best Buddies Rhode Island.

What if one day you woke up and felt sad and alone- isolated from the rest of the world? You had no one to go to a movie with, no one to share your life with.

For the 7.5 million Americans, and 200 million worldwide, with intellectual disabilities, that very scenario is an everyday reality.

Best Buddies is a nonprofit organization that enhances the lives of people with intellectual disabilities by providing opportunities for one-to-one friendships and integrated employment.
